Prof. dr Goran Pitić je redovni profesor ekonomije i pridruženi MOC profesor na Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, Harvard Business School, SAD . Predsednik je Saveta FEFA. Predsednik je upravnog odbora banke Societe Generale Srbija od 2005. Član je upravnog odbora privrednog društva Metalac Holding iz Gornjeg Milanovca od 2008.

Prof. dr Pitić je doktorirao na Ekonomskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu. Zvanje magistra je stekao na dva fakulteta – na Ekonomskom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu i na Katedri za ekonomiju Univerziteta u Torontu. Specijalizirao je ekonomiju (poslediplomske studije iz oblasti Kvantitativne razvojne ekonomije) na Univerzitetu u Vorviku u Velikoj Britaniji školske 1991/92 godine. Takođe se usavršavao na Londonskoj školi ekonomije i učestovao u velikom broju stručnih programa na unverzitetima u Evropi i Americi, kao i pri institutima koji se bave finansijskim tržištima. Od oktobra 2000. do marta 2004. godine, bio je Ministar za ekonomske odnose sa inostranstvom u prvoj demokratskoj vladi Republike Srbije.

G. Pitić je predsednik Upravnog odbora Udruženja banaka Srbije, predsednik Saveza za fer konkurenciju Nacionalne alijanse za lokalni ekonomski razvoj, član Upravog odbora Saveta stranih investitora, član Predsedništva Saveza ekonomista Srbije i Udruženja korporativnih direktora .Bio je član Nacionalnog saveta za nauku i tehnološki razvoj, član UO Fonda za inovacionu delatnost, UO BEMUSa.

Prof. dr Pitić govori tri strana jezika: engleski, francuski i španski.
